The Hospice relies very much on our team of volunteers. Their invaluable contribution of time, commitment and life skills are recognised by patients, relatives and staff. Without their input the Hospice could not provide such a wide range of support and care.

We need volunteers from all walks of life, and anyone over 18 years of age may apply to join our volunteer service.

We are currently looking for volunteers for our Day Centre and Twilight and Weekend Meeter and Greeters.  For an informal chat, please contact our Volunteer Co-Ordinator on 01264 835279.

Could you spare a few hours to sell Christmas Cards and Gifts at the Hospice?   We are looking for volunteers from Monday 11 October to Friday 3 December to cover 10am – 12pm or 2.00pm – 4.00pm on weekdays.  If you can help, please contact Noelle on 01264 359789.

Updated 17 December 2021:

Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust -Covid-19 Update

The hospice is following guidelines to protect our patients and staff.

You will be required to wear a clinical grade mask, socially distance where possible and regularly wash or sanitise hands.

Our Inpatient Unit is operating as normal.  However Visitor Restrictions are in force.

We need to restrict visitors to protect patients and staff. Please speak to senior staff or call 01264 835288 to find out how this affects your family.  If you are visiting, please do not come to the Hospice if you have any symptoms or are self-isolating.  You are recommended to take a lateral flow test before you visit.

Thank you for your continued support and patience, and for helping to protect our patients and staff.

Michele Gard

Director of the Hospice Charitable Trust
