At Christmas time our thoughts often turn to those who are no longer with us to share the festive season.  This year, many of us have endured the heartbreak of separation, or the loss of a loved one, without the opportunity to share our feelings properly.

Through Light Up a Life, we join together to remember and celebrate their lives and our memories.  Dedicate a light in memory of your loved one and your gift means we can be there to help others when help is needed most.

Light Up a Life is for everyone who has someone they wish to remember at this special time of year.  We welcome both Hospice supporters and the wider community to take part in this unique and moving online event.

We are inviting you, your family and friends to join our Light up a Life online event, where our whole community can come together to celebrate and remember loved ones.  This year’s Lighting Up Ceremony will take place online via YouTube, Facebook and our website on Sunday 6th December at 4.00pm and will feature readings, songs, the lighting of the Hospice Christmas tree and the opportunity to remember all the special people in our lives.
New for 2020 – we also have a virtual Light Up a Light Christmas Tree online.

The Light Up a Life Christmas Tree will shine until Twelfth Night.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our Remembrance Books cannot be on display this year.  Instead, you will receive a Light Up a Life Dedication Certificate, the programme for the Light Up a Light Ceremony and details on how to join the streamed event .  This will be posted to you on Monday 30th November.

To make sure a light shines on the Hospice Light Up a Life Tree for your loved one, please make sure your dedication reaches us by Friday 27th November.  If we do not receive your dedication by this date,  your loved one’s light will still shine on our tree but we cannot guarantee that you will receive your programme and dedication certificate in time for the Light Up a Life Ceremony.  You can dedicate a light on our virtual Light Up a Life Christmas Tree at any time.
