Will you take on the 2.6 challenge for CoBH?
The 2.6 Challenge is a nationwide campaign to support UK charities. It will launch on Sunday 26 April 2020 – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon – the world’s biggest one day annual fundraising event, which raised £66.4 million for charities in 2019. The challenge will last for a week and is open to anyone of any age.
The Countess of Brecknock Hospice, like so many charities across the UK, has been impacted by the cancellation of fundraising events and activities due to COVID-19.
We are asking you take up the 2.6 Challenge and dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday April 26 or over the following seven days. This could be something as simple as making a donation of £26, pledging to run, walk or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise or gardening for 26 minutes or it could be more elaborate. See some ideas for all the family here. The only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing and remember to stay local.
There are just five easy steps to support CoBH:
- Dream up your 2.6 Challenge or get your payment card ready
- Find the Countess of Brecknock Hospice on JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving
- Donate or set up your fundraising page
- If you are fundraising, ask all your friends and family to sponsor you
- Complete your 2.6 challenge!
