WELCOME – We are delighted to welcome Staff Nurse Kelly Short  and Health Care Assistant, Chantelle Bedford to the CoBH team.

 

 

 

Farewell – We have also said goodbye to Staff Nurse Evie Puttock and Dr Sue McGladdery.  We send them both with good wishes for their new ventures.

Dandelion Cafe is back.  Starting on March 2nd, we will be opening on the first and third Wednesday of the month.  We are trying a new time for the next few months: 10.30am – 12.30pm.  We hope you can join us.

Lucy and Tom ran either 50k or 50 miles every month throughout 2021. They have raised a magnificent £2,745 in memory of Kev Reid.  He would be so proud of you.

 

 

Customers at the Foresters Arms have recently raised a considerable amount for local charities.  A golf tournament saw the Foresters Arms team take on the Clatford Arms which raised a total of £300.  £150 was presented to CoBH together with a further £100 from the September and October charity quiz nights.  Cheers and thank you to everyone who supported us.

 

 

Mooch, on Bridge Street, were officially recognised for their Christmas window decoration by winning Andover’s best dressed Christmas window competition for the second year in a row.  Their stunning display included snowflakes, penguins and polar bears.  Georgina Roberts, of Mooch, said: “We are so delighted to have won the competition again this year.  We are going to donate the prize to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice as they do such wonderful work.”  Thank you to Georgina and all at Mooch.

 

 

Enham Shop and Post Office has once again supported CoBH with their Christmas Raffle.   We were delighted to receive a magnificent £735.  Thank you so much.

 

 

Thank you to everyone at Wonston Community Cafe who raised £423 at their coffee morning for CoBH.  That’s an awful lot of coffee and cake!

 

 

It is customary for UK crematoria to sensitively recycle the metal residues that remain at the end of the cremation process, and to direct any resulting revenue to good causes.
Owned and operated by Pure Cremation, Charlton Park Crematorium has donated £12,000 to several charities within its local vicinity, including £3,000 to CoBH.
Zoe McMillan, crematorium manager said: “We are delighted to support charities that make a difference.  These organisations do fantastic work, touching lives across Andover and the wider area.”

Mea & Katy will be running the Worthing Half Marathon on 24th April 2022 in memory of their nan, Sue Cook.   You can support them here.

The 12th Test Valley Charity Clay Shoot will be held on Thursday 5th May 2022 at Owl’s Lodge Shooting School, near Longparish

Aidan, Jordan, Mike and Dave (The Dino-Sores) will be completing the 33km Jurassic Coast Challenge on 15th May 2022. Money raised will be donated to the hospice as a thank you for looking after his dad, please support them here.
