Coins for the Countess
Michele visited the Nationwide Building Society and the Newbury Building Society in Andover town centre to thank the staff and customers for their fantastic support for the Hospice over recent years.
The Hospice collects ‘Coins for the Countess’ – small jam jars that customers pick up, fill with 5p coins, and return. Despite the restrictions of the lockdown, they have raised over £2000 since the start of last year.
Michele said: ‘It’s humbling to see how generously our local community supports us. It is wonderful to work in partnership with both the Newbury and Nationwide Building Societies on this initiative. It is a simple idea but makes such a difference to the Hospice and we are so grateful to the staff and their customers for their support.’
If you would like to collect ‘Coins for the Countess’ and raise money for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice at your pub, shop, club, cafe or church, please phone Michele on 01264 359789.
