So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, adieu …

We have said goodbye to two long-serving staff this month.

Sherine Locke was treated to breakfast after her final night shift.  Sherine was one of our Health Care Assistants and retires after 20 years

Staff Nurse Linda Johnston has also retired after 10 years service.

We wish Sherine and Linda a very long and happy retirement

Warm and Cosy

The family of John Mulcock and his company, the Fireplace Warehouse, have donated this fantastic modern fire and fireplace for our family space in the inpatient unit.

We are very grateful to them for this generous gift, which makes a stunning focal point in our seating area.

Made with Love …
Linda Peck visited the Hospice on behalf of the Grenville Quilters.  She kindly brought us bags of beautifully worked quilts for our patient beds.  Each quilt has a little label which tells us who made them and that they were made with love in Andover.  Thank you so much to Linda and the Grenville Quilters for all your hard work during lockdown and donating your quilts to us.

Short Back and Sides
After 9 years, Dan Allen sacrificed his 34 inch long dreadlocks in memory of his father-in-law, John Wallace and raised an amazing £1,085 for CoBH.  Dan said, ‘The team at COBH were absolutely amazing in their care and understanding while looking after him, and all the support they offered John’s family was second to none.  I am very grateful for everyone’s generosity in raising this money, my nan Kathleen Walton also passed away in a hospice so my family are very aware how hard the staff work, and how important all their efforts are in a families time of need.
Thank you Dan – you are awesome!
