Congratulations to Legs Miserable. Jacob Corner, Hannah Beavis, Chloe Brown, Dominique Carr, Bryn Edwards, Melissa Oatham and Olivia Slowey all took part in the Basingstoke 10k. They raised a magnificent £2,188.65 in memory of Chris Corner. Thank you so much guys.
Kings Somborne Art Exhibition raised a fantastic £1,299.24 for CoBH. Thank you so much to Hugh Dumas, Julia Bowen and everyone who supported this event.
Hannah Harwood also ran the Basingstoke 10k. Hannah ran in memory of her lovely Grandpa Brown and raised £351 in his memory. Thank you Hannah – Grandpa would be very proud of you.
Congratulations and Thanks to Team Stokie – team members: Phil Lunn, Dean Noble, Tom Payne, Rory Pope took on the Mont Ventoux Challenge 2019. They cycled in relay over 4 days from Ouistreham to the top of Mont Ventoux, totalling 620 miles! The money raised will be split 3 ways, with 50% to CoBH and 25% each to the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK. Team Stokie are named in memory of Kevin Basting known as Stokie to his friends.
Singing for Jo. We were delighted to welcome Lyn Woods to CoBH . Lyn organised the Harlequin and WASPS concert in memory of Jo Brazier which raised £654.50. Our thanks to Lyn, Harlequin and WASPs and everyone who supported.
Fore! Michele was delighted to be invited to Andover Golf Club where last years Captain, Allan King and Ladies Captain Louise Hughes presented a cheque for £3,587.10. Michele is seen here with Mick Batchelor – Chairman, Allan and Louise, Mark Gates – President and Andrew Cloke – Secretary. Thank you for all your hard work and support to raise this magnificent sum.
Bowled Away! David Hamilton, President of Andover Bowls Club and Cindy McLaughlin, President of Whitchurch and District Association presented us with £436. This was raised from a friendly game with St Mary Bourne Bowls Club and the proceeds of the raffle at Cindy’s President’s Day. The annual friendly has regularly benefited CoBH and we are very grateful for this continuing support.
Vanessa Barrow completed the New Forest Marathon in memory of her step brother, Simon Reynolds and raised a wonderful £720 for CoBH. Vanessa – you really deserved that medal – congratulations and thank you so much for supporting us.
Huge thanks to John and Jenny Sutton, the soloists and singers, Winchester Cathedral and everyone who attended. The Massed Sing of Elijah was a wonderful event and the singing was incredible.
