Pride of Andover Award

Julie Mundy nominated the nurses in recognition and appreciation of the care her late husband Lee received from the Hospice at Home Team during the period that the Hospice was closed for refurbishment acheter viagra france belgique.

A quotation from The Pride of Andover web-page reads “The Countess of Brecknock team’s care and support for terminally ill patients goes way beyond the call of duty, in making sure patients do not lose their dignity, in what could be the last days of their lives. Nothing is too much trouble for them.”

Sarah McGaughey, Hospice Lead Nurse, said “To learn that we had been nominated for an award was a big surprise, so it came as an even bigger surprise when we actually won the health category. I am extremely proud of the whole hospice team who continued to deliver a first class service throughout the six months the hospice was closed for refurbishment. Many of the team were working in a completely different environment but everyone soon rose to the challenge, quickly adapting their skills to suit the needs of patients in their homes rather than on the hospice ward. It was a joy to watch my team develop and become more confident as the months went by, knowing that this experience had made the team stronger which would definitely benefit the unit in the future. The fact that our dedication to our patients has been acknowledged by the local community was a real honour – after all we were only doing our jobs!”
